home52 Transportation is a service of Council on Aging's wholly-owned subsidiary, home52.
home52 Transportation provides a different transportation experience than traditional commercial, public transit and rideshare services. home52 Transportation was designed to support the unique transportation needs of older adults and adults with disabilities. Our service includes:
“The individuals who ride with us need some level of extra support to travel independently in the community. They may need hands-on support. They may need someone to meet them at their door, assist them safely in and out of the vehicle, and then assist them into their appointment location. Our drivers also manage the rider’s mobility aids, such as walkers and wheelchairs. We use a person-centered approach when providing transportation support by offering the highest level of support to every rider and allowing our riders to choose the level of support they want” – home52 Transportation Manager.
We currently provide services in Hamilton County, Ohio. We are planning to expand our service area to Clermont County, Ohio in 2025.

“I have a smile on my face when I see Rodger return to pick me up. At my home, Rodger opens the garage door and wheels me in. He knows I’m very weak. He stands behind me, provides an arm so that I may lift myself up from the wheelchair, and he’s right there when I step into my home.”
"The staff from home52 Transportation called to double-check the date, time and location for my scheduled rides. This was reassuring, and I appreciated the call. My two scheduled rides for Tuesday and Thursday were very smooth, I received notifications about the arrival of my rides coming and going. This was my first time using the service and it was wonderful."
When Dolores’ doctor was running late, she was concerned about her ride home. home52 Transportation staff assured her a ride would be ready when her appointment was over. "I’m very thankful for the service. With no family and my friends are all gone, there is no one to help with doctor appointments. Everyone was very courteous.”
